SEO & AEO
Being findable in search and being citable by AI assistants are two different jobs.
Most organizations are working on the first and have not started the second.
Search is becoming a conversation held without you
The question used to be whether you rank for a phrase. Increasingly the question is whether, when someone describes their problem to an assistant, your organization is part of the answer. Those are not the same thing, and the second one is harder to buy your way into.
There are three layers and they get progressively more defensible. Findable is table stakes: consistent information everywhere, clean structured data, profiles that resolve to the same organization across every source, and answers written in the language people actually use rather than the language of your profession. Citable is the real work: original material, named experts, and corroboration from sources other than you. Callable is the frontier — tools, calculators and checkers an assistant can use rather than merely quote.
Traditional search is not going anywhere, and local search in particular still drives real enquiries. So this is not a choice between the two. It is one discipline with a longer horizon than it used to have.
The work
- 01Technical and on-page SEO, structured data, and site health
- 02Google Business Profile and local search, including review strategy
- 03Entity consistency — making sure you resolve to one organization everywhere
- 04Content built around the questions people actually ask, in their words
- 05Original material worth citing: guides, reports, explainers
- 06AEO measurement — asking assistants your key questions and recording what they cite
- 07Interactive tools where a calculator or checker makes you callable, not just quotable
For law firms
Legal search is competitive, expensive, and bound by advertising rules most agencies have never read. The opportunity is in the questions nobody is answering properly, not in bidding harder on the obvious ones.
- Practice-area questions answered in plain language
- Local search for every office location
- Attorney entity consistency across directories and bar listings
- Advertising-rule-aware content, including required disclaimers
For nonprofits
Nonprofits are usually competing for attention rather than for a transaction, and often have genuine authority they have never made legible — program data, outcomes, and expertise that nobody has written down in a citable form.
- Program and service questions people search before they call
- Local and cause-based visibility
- Making program expertise citable rather than buried in a PDF
- Grant and funder discoverability
This service is how we deliver pillar four of our framework — making an organization legible to machines.
Read the frameworkFind out what the assistants say about you
We will ask four different AI assistants the questions your organization should own, and show you not only whether you appear, but who they cite instead. That list is usually more useful than a rankings report.
